Soluble in water and liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in methyl alcohol and ethyl alcohol, poorly soluble in diethyl ether, benzene, tetrahydrofuran, methyl ether. Uses: as reducing agent for aldehyde, ketone and acyl chloride, or as reducing agent for analytical chemistry, pesticide, papermaking industry and other fine chemical products.
